​Here @ Lotus, we invest in to their future, not just the urgent need of right now. Through our work, we are ending the cycle of homelessness, and extending a hand up for families. They are able to walk forward in life with an independence grasped, in a dignified way, and knowing that they are not alone.

We primarily focus on the Core Five, as the key struggling areas that some single moms can face, which are: economic, education, health, social and spiritual. Through our weekly class sessions, topics range from parenting, managing personal finances, cooking, etc.

Economic: Many mothers we encounter are of limited means, possessing monetary hardships. We aim to assist these mothers in finding the proper resources in terms of employment and financial stability.

Education: We come in to contact with several that do not have a strong educational foundation, or they would like to continue their academics, yet lack the resources to do so. Through different community partners, we help them create a way to obtain whatever further education they choose. 

​​

Health: A multitude of our mothers are in need of vital physical or mental health services. We connect them with doctors, pediatricians, counselors, nutritionists, etc. 

​​

Social: We receive numerous amounts from unstable backgrounds. There have been times where exposure to illegal drugs, domestic violence circumstances, homeless shelters, etc., have occurred. We provide an environment for character growth and connect them with mentors, the leadership team here at Lotus, and to have positive role models.

Spiritual: Large numbers have deep related trauma as the result of past abuse, in which healing must take place. Through our ministry, and the regular attendance of church, this enables a foundational background in which to build. ​​
